Graphics Table with Touch-Display
The graphic arts collection of the Kunsthalle Mannheim comprises 35,000 items. Since works on paper are extremely sensitive to light, only a fraction can be presented at one time - and only for a short time. The electronic graphics table with a large touch screen allows for a more extensive view of these precious holdings. In this way, the original works on paper are preserved, while at the same time a high-resolution magnified view encourages visitors to discover the details on the sheets. Currently, several hundred prints can be viewed.
The Graphics Table was developed by Kunsthalle Mannheim together with its digital partner Klangerfinder GmbH & Co KG with generous support from the Baden-Württemberg Stiftung gGmbH and MFG Baden-Württemberg mbH.
